Assistant Room Leader

I have worked in childcare for 13 years working with babies to pre-schoolers. I am level 2 qualified doing my level 3 qualification. I love working with children watching them grow and helping them along their most important journey within the nursery setting. The bond you get with children to watch their little personalities grow to help them learn and develop new skills is so rewarding and the partnerships you make with parents. Looking back at my 13 years of experience even now I still talk to parents from my previous jobs about how their children are doing and learning. I came from a Monkey Puzzle in Cambridge as a Deputy Room Leader to now returning to Astwick Monkey Puzzle off maternity as part time, looking at the nursery I knew this nursery was for me and my little boy from the friendly staff and the beautiful setting.

In my spare time, I now spend most of that with my little boy and partner whether it’s swimming or different groups, going to the farm or making our own sensory activities at home. But also enjoy going to visit all the family we have around the UK.

An interesting fact about me…

When I went to America and swam with dolphins.
