Jess

Position:

Nursery Practitioner

About Me:

As a graduate from University of Hertfordshire I am keen to put my Early Childhood Degree to good use and start my career at Monkey Puzzle. During my degree I attended two private nurseries as part of placement which inspired to become a practitioner.

My degree taught me so much about early years in particular how each child develops at different rates and how I can support each individual child to meet their needs. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the children and how I can become an asset to their learning.

I love being crafty at home from making pottery, painting and embroidery, so I can guarantee I’ll be getting as messy as the children in messy play!

During my three years at university I was also part of the cheerleading group. Enjoying regularly performing, learning how to do new stunts and seeing how high I could throw people! Now that I’ve moved back home, I’m hoping to find another cheerleading group to join soon! I was also well-being officer for the team and organising craft nights for everyone to relax after training was a real favourite!

Interesting fact about me…

During uni I decided to fill my spare time with learning how to crochet. This led to me recently starting my own small business Crochet Bouquets where I sell crochet flowers!
