Your child will embark on their Preschool journey with us at around three years old, enjoying an enriching, learning environment, that fully supports their individual needs through individual play and group activities.
In preschool we believe in nurturing the children through a balanced, nature-rich and relationship focused approach, that lays the foundation for lifelong learning. We are lucky to be able to provide Forest school experiences, Sports sessions and outdoor learning on the farm. We focus on School readiness and supporting every child’s individuality.

In our Preschool room, otherwise known as Bluebells at Monkey Puzzle Astwick, children are supported to build strong relationships, helping them feel seen, heard and valued as they grow in confidence. Communication skills are developed through meaningful interactions and play with friends, alongside early number recognition and counting in sequence.
School readiness is carefully embedded through a focus on social and emotional development, self-regulation and strong communication, preparing children for the next stage of learning.
We love inspiring curiosity and resilience through Forest School sessions and daily walks around the farmland, where outdoor play-based experiences encourage a deep connection with nature and teach children how to care for the world and animals around them. Science is introduced through sensory and messy play, allowing children to explore changes and how things are made, while independence is promoted through self-dressing, toileting and serving meals.
Children also begin to discover different occupations and their importance through role play, parent partnerships and learning about individual interests and differences.
