How To Find Monkey Puzzle Astwick
Monkey Puzzle Astwick is situated at Church Farm in the Hamlet of Astwick, next door to the historic church of St Guthlac. We are located on Astwick Road, which is short distance from the centre of Stotfold or the A1M. We are located less than 3 miles away from Arlesey Train Station and about 4 ½ miles away from Letchworth Train station with buses running near-by every 30 minutes during peak times.
When arriving at Church Farm (on the bend of Astwick Road, near a bridge that crosses the River Ivel), drive through the double gates and follow the drive to the end. Visitor parking is found in the left hand side car park. Once parked, the nursery is directly opposite the car park, over a small bridge and to the left. Ring the door bell when you arrive and one of our team will greet you.

⭐️ Housekeeper ⭐️
We are looking for a nursery housekeeper to help with the day to day cleaning of the nursery.
This is a part time position 1-630pm Monday to Friday to help in and around the nursery.
The position will include all aspects of cleaning including throughout the nursery rooms and communal areas, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows within the nursery. Assisting with laundry and ensuring stock levels are adequate for all cleaning related products. Supporting the team in cleaning outdoor areas where required. Must work to tight Health and safety regulations due to the nature of the role.

Jo Jingles and I have had a lovely morning visiting the toddlers and babies at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Astwick❤️💛 It was our first day back after the Summer break - so many little ones joining in and singing along! Even the staff can’t resist😂
We clapped our hands, stamped our feet, played the bells and maracitos, balanced beanbags and still had time to pop some bubbles too!
Thank you to all the children and staff at Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Astwick, it was great to be back ! 🥳

It’s Gas Safety Week and this year is all about keeping our family and those around us gas safe.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is known as the silent killer. The highly poisonous gas can kill quickly and without warning, as you cannot see it, taste it, or smell it.
Young children are especially vulnerable to the effects of CO and may experience symptoms sooner than a healthy adult.
It can leak into our homes when an appliance such as a boiler, gas hob, or wood burning stove has been incorrectly fitted, badly repaired or poorly maintained.
Fortunately, there are things you can do to keep your family safe:
👉 Fit a carbon monoxide alarm which will sound a warning if there is carbon monoxide in the air. Remember to test it regularly.
👉 Get your gas appliances checked by a registered gas engineer.

Cooking skills 🧑🍳
Throughout the nursery the children have been learning lots of different skills in the kitchen. They have been chopping fruit to make fruit skewers, baking watermelon cookies and even apple pies! Our preschoolers also experimented by making different coloured tortilla chips!

World Relaxation Day 🧖
Last week our children had a ‘chill out’ day where they had lots of fun doing yoga, listening to calming music, sensory and activities and our older children had a spa day where they soaked their feet in water & petals, had their nails ‘painted’ and so much more!

Fun at Forest School 🌳🍃
